Snowmobile Porting

The port timing of many modern snowmobile engines is very aggressive, so making massive changes is probably a no-no. Look for small things to improve flow - making sure matched port pairs flow the same. You should be looking for port flaws to correct, not the complete redesign of the porting arrangement.

Consider porting, it's flow into the exhaust, carburetor size and bore, piston choice - cast forged, custom cut pistons and custom heads to make it all come together.

I'm of the opinion to not raise a(ny) port height unless absolutely necessary. Many of the guys with my engines have said that when these cylinders are ported this way the power is where it needs to be - but clutching needs major reworking. So, unless you know both systems it's probably best to hook up with someone to work with. You guys can then come up with some sort of a package.
